The big advantage of having connected AUs is that you start into the game with existing CR. Branch out! We recommend using this chance to forge cross-canon pre-CR, which will then make any further CR easier - ties with canonmates will, in our experience, be forged quickly enough even with no pre-CR at all.

A short blurb about your character's AU: Chad is a Family pet - as in, he's a white Pomeranian (a tiny purebred dog) who lives with his owner above an Italian restaurant in Mossgate that said owner helps run. The restaurant is a mafia front. He's 10 and was a stud originally but got retired many years ago and given to his current owner as a present. He echoed sentience about a year before game start. He sometimes wanders around the restaurant on his own, so patrons might know him.

Open/Wanted CR: His owner! Any mafia members attached to the restaurant. Dogsitters! If someone is thinking about a white Pomeranian breeder (good white Pomeranians apparently come from specialized breeders? the things you learn through RP) background, I'd be interested in knowing where he came from, too, and maybe doing something with it later. Patrons or other people that would know him. Other dogs that he could bond with/have rivalries with.

Anything else? Chad isn't as much of an arrogant pompous twat as Channing, but he still thinks way too highly of himself, so it'd be hilarious if people encountered him as a cute, well behaved dog and then later had to deal with his personality once he learns how to communicate...

I really, really want for Russell to have some kind of antagonism with Chad, as Papyrus has a history with intelligent and mischievous white dogs disrupting his life. Maybe Russell's been a dogsitter, or worked for a bit washing dishes at the restaurant?

A short blurb about your character's AU: Walter here, while born in Mossgate, has been away for most of his life... first due to less-than-pleasant cult-related circumstances, then due to university. Now he's back, having learned how to carve out a niche for himself in the computer world (and also learned about himself - he's FTM trans, and very glad his meds work), and has been settling back into the town life for the past two years. While shy, he's the helpful sort, and always willing to add a joke to the conversation (or vent about the latest stupid thing a client has done).
Open/Wanted CR: FRIENDS. While the rest of his family is still back in London (if someone really wants to app someone as his younger sister, that's an option), Walter knows enough about himself that he really shouldn't be going it alone. >.> Flatmates would also be a good idea.
Anything else? He's going to be veeery quiet once his first recognizable echo kicks in, since it'll push his reflexes and thoughtspeed TO THE MAX and... he needs to get a handle on that.
And try and run every security test possible on the Network, once he figures out that's a thing.

Rafe could probably get along with Walter pretty well. My child is a grumpy, "you will obey my rules" sort of person. But he's just mostly grumpy because he couldn't pursue acting due to muscular dystrophy. He really actually has a soft spot somewhere. But shy and helpful is generally welcomed.

A short blurb about your character's AU:
Sam Stone has lived in the city for something like 15 years, which isn't all THAT long when you're in your mid to late 70s, which he is. He's gruff, a former American air force (cuz I don't know a damn thing about UK air force, and also the way he talks is not very conducive to an English accent), but on the whole a good guy. He has a small private plane that he used to teach flying lessons in before his wife died.

Open/Wanted CR: Friends, former flying students, people he ran into around town? He already has one daughter living in town, but he had another kid and a passel of grandkids if anyone wants to to be related to him.

Anything else? Everybody should want to be granddadded at by him. He is the best granddad, even if he's not as great with kids as he was in canon.

Hey, two people of similar age from the same branch of the American military!

I've been vaguely thinking Sky was in Vietnam but I actually need to... research, I don't know a thing about the air force in that period. Suffice that he signed up as a crop-dusting idiot teenager and came out in worse condition, and with a pretty poor opinion of the military, though he's mellowed out since.

What do you think? Some kind of decades-old acquaintance with a giant lapse in the middle?

Also, if Stone ever wants to complain about tech stuff (particularly on the software side of things), Walter'd be more than happy to help (and possibly vent with).

A short blurb about your character's AU: SO INSTEAD OF A SUPERVILLIAN LEADING AN EVIL ORGANIZATION Jacob here teachers science at 6th form at a school I haven't quite decided; I'm leaning towards Mossgate, though. He's got a bad arm due to his echo, but doesn't let it get him down; he's an extremely upbeat person, as evidenced by his username, and heartily enjoys the ups and downs of his job teaching teenagers and/or serving as a mentor to certain problem students. BASICALLY he's that teacher you really loved who wasn't afraid to tease someone in class with 'remember, the world doesn't revolve around you, it revolves around the thirty other students in this room' kind of attitude but you know he's always got your back so long as you put forth some effort.

In his spare time he enjoys karaoke (he's got a pretty good singing voice, but isn't exactly about to appear on the X Factor or whatever shows there are), card games, and good liquor. I can't recall how gambling is treated in England, but he may spend just a tad too much on it. Just a tad. Enough that his savings aren't anywhere they should be, anyway.

Never married, still vaguely looking but he's mostly resigned himself to being a bachelor. I'm on the fence about his orientation; I figure I'll figure it out more as I write him.

Open/Wanted CR: Students! Coworkers/associates! Parents of students! Or other people he'd hang around with.
Anything else? I'm not sure if I want him to have a Moment where he sort of snaps and sort of supervillains a bit, but I'm not against him having a midlife crisis due to his previous self's actions. 8)

A short blurb about your character's AU: Russell's a longtime theatre kid in his mid-20s from Moss Manor, having been involved with everything from props and set design to playing supporting roles since secondary school. He went to university for literature, and spent a couple semesters in America (as my cunning way to explain linguistic slips - he's picked up a bunch of Americanisms). Lives now in Mossgate in an apartment with ever-revolving roommates, and works a variety of temporary part-time jobs to pay the bills as he tries to make an acting career happen.

He's the sort of guy who wears costumes around town, be it from the latest performance or whatever cosplay he's enthusiastic about. Every couple of months he's idolizing somebody, reinventing his image to emulate them, and your character may be next! I'm still working out what his first echo might be, and haven't made many decisions about his family yet (besides having some Italian ancestry).

Open/Wanted CR: Current or former roommates, relatives, friends from school, and people he's worked with are all good options! People he's looked up to, and thus emulated to some degree, would be especially helpful for working out the rest of my app.

Anything else? Without his brother, he's a little less self-confident, and I admit it makes for a slightly Burgerpants!Papyrus, but I had to. He quotes Hamlet while dying, on top of his various theatrical and artistic tendencies. There'll probably be bad skeleton war jokes down the road, too.

ROOMMATES? That's my first thought, anyway. Possibly former roommates - Walter's the shyer type, and interrupting him when he's in the Zone on an IT project is never a smart idea. He's gotten lots of practice at at least acting less anxious than he feels at any one time, he tries to be optimistic... and he can, ahem, work a pun or two. So if Papyrus would try to emulate that, I guess he could?

Considering Walter's been (back in) Mossgate for the past two years, they've likely at least crossed paths.

Luke Skywalker | Star Wars Legends | UU Pastor

Pre-Incarnation: Luke Skywalker from, well, Star Wars Legends. Here he's Luke Walker but often goes by Sky.
A short blurb about your character's AU: Not much changed from here. Sky's an old war veteran with a missing hand. He was some dumb American farmboy who signed up for the military, was catapulted in over his head, and generally suffered. Coming back to being disdained for his role in the war he ended up in a cult, but he left it again eventually, with the help of his sister and a government agent. Much soul-searching ensued and he joined the Unitarian Universalists, eventually even going to college and becoming a minister. Moved here less than a year ago to replace the old local UU minister.

Sky's in his sixties or so. He is or has been married - very possibly his wife is still in America and they have a happy relationship that involves not being constantly in proximity - and has had children, who are adults. How many these are, if they resemble him, who they are and if they've had children, I don't know! He's also still close to his sister. These wouldn't have to be Star Wars characters but that'd be amazing, especially if relationships were completely shuffled around. As long as he's not married to the reincarnation of Luke's sister or mother, of course.

He's a gentle person with a very lax approach to a lot of things, idealistic, tolerant, and accepting to a fault. Aside from preaching to a small congregation he teaches meditation, writes for a nondenominational spiritual newsletter, he's moonlit as a writer of cheap adventure novels, and he does some low-impact exercise.

Open/Wanted CR: He'd be relatively new to the area. Family, friends, or members of the congregation (which is open) are good.
Anything else? Man, I don't know!

Kitty has established a few "home bases" around town - essentially, she managed to wander into someone's life/house and end up dropping by every so often, raid their ice cream/cookie stocks and commandeer their TV, or just nap on their couch, play a board game with them, or whatever, and wander back out after a few hours. She is kind of aiming for older(-ish) people with this, so Luke would be in her area of potentials.

Could Luke's place be one of those "home bases"?

A short blurb about your character's AU: Basically a young rich girl with a difficult home life who deals with her issues via aggressive optimism and persistent smiling. With varying degrees of success.

Instead of a despotic king I'm thinking her father is either a wealthy businessman who got rich on a lot of horribly shady deals and ruthless business practices, or is just straight up involved in organized crime. Can't really decide which is more interesting.

Either way, Elise is his youngest child and has grown up pretty sheltered but also largely neglected. She's not quite as naive as she is in canon, but it's easier to pretend she doesn't notice the things her father is doing. She probably still has older siblings that she looks up to and adores.

Open/Wanted CR: Siblings, friends, teachers (She's about 14 and I'll have to look up where that places her in British school)

Anything else? This is sort of thrown together and very vague so any ideas/suggestions would be extremely helpful.

Walter's 27, so prooobably in an age range she wouldn't interact with much, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have seen her around? If she's the sort to take up biking or running, it might have happened that way.

He's the shyer sort, though, so unless she shows a special interest in tech/IT she might not ping his radar. >.>

A short blurb about your character's AU: Rafe Ecclestone in this lifetime, he had huge aspirations to become an actor. However, due to the onset of Muscular Dystrophy, that dream had become essentially tossed to the wind. He now teaches a Drama class, in the attempt to hold on to anything that he loves regarding acting.

Due to losing his dream, he has a particularly grumpy exteriour. He is very much so, "follow my rules or suffer consequences" kind of guy. He does care though... somewhere in there. Mostly when he sees others trying their best and having a hard time, he'll dote a little and make sure they're taking care of themselves first and foremost.

Open/Wanted CR: Friends, fellow teachers. Enemies and haters. Students to teach and tutor. Caretakers (though being taken care of might be a touchy subject for him). Honestly, bring me just about anything.

Anything else?Just feel free to harass him, be it through aggressive friending, or just hating his guts.

Born in Mossgate, raised in America (primarily New York), and recently relocated back to Mossgate as his father tries to pick his acting career back up by taking a gig offered to him closer to his old home. Ikshu isn't all that happy to be dragged back to a place he barely remembers, not helped by the fact that his Dad picking his career back up means having to get used to getting by on his own again, at a point when he's already otherwise alone.

Because of that, the generally shy neurotic kid is starting to develop a bit of a rebellious streak, or at least an anxious worrywart version of rebellion. Basically, his grades are slipping (when they weren't that great, to begin with), he skips class on occasion and stays out late when he knows his Dad won't be around to catch him doing it. It's a bit of a sad attempt at rebellion really, but there you go.

Open/Wanted CR: Would love to get CR with teachers/school staff, students and fans of his father who can drive him nuts (he's mostly known for acting in campy horror movies, though not exclusively. Think Bruce Campbell or Jeff Goldblum kind of roles, but probably less well known since he'll have been out of the business for almost ten years at this point).

Anything else? I'm really looking forward to him interacting with anyone that can be either a really good or bad influence on him. Both options could be fun. On one hand, he could really use proper parental figures or really good friends. On the other hand, he's semi-sheltered and easily manipulated which could lead to hijinks.

Open/Wanted CR: I'd love for her to have children that are played by someone! They could be anything between toddlers and twenty, probably, though the older they are the likelier it is that either her wife brought them into the marriage or that they are adopted. Might be fostering, too.
I would also be interested in someone playing her wife (should be a woman in her forties).
Due to her job she might also know people as patients, medical staff could be colleagues, and due to the children she probably knows a lot of other Moss Manor parents.

A short blurb about your character's AU: Half caucasian, half Japanese, Benjiro has moved around (most recently from Japan) and came to Mossgate for 6th Form College to prepare for entry to the Imperial College of London. He just turned 17 and is about to enter his second year at the college. He is a student of Professor Jacob Petty. When not attending to his studies, Benjiro streams video games on Twitch as UVPulse and has a growing fanbase as a minor online celebrity. This second identity he keeps to himself and tries to avoid being recognized. He lives with his great aunts and does what he can to help them (including being loaned out as a repair guy to neighbors).

Open/Wanted CR: Friends highly desired! Open to both positive or negative relationships, as he is an outsider.

Anything else? His great aunts are retired and never had kids themselves, so Ben gets a little too much attention sometimes please save him.

A short blurb about your character's AU: Sadie Moore is a Upper Sixth Student at Mossgate Sixth Form College. Her and her family are recent arrivals from London, moving back to Sadie's Dad's hometown to help care for her granddad who has taken ill recently. She has a twin brother, James, who is a hopeful candidate for Team GB's Sailing, a much more outgoing boy than Sadie who would much rather study for her A2 exams or go fossil hunting. Outside of hunting for rocks and fossils, Sadie much prefers to spend her time indoors, reading or playing video games. When not at school, she can normally be found at the local library or, on weekends, volunteering at the local animal centre.
Open/Wanted CR: Friends, teachers, any type of interaction is good really but be prepared for Sadie to be rather shy and soft-spoken at first.
Anything else? Animals are the quickest way to her heart. That and mutual nerd-outs.

Pre-Incarnation: Nam Shin III - Are You Human Too? aka Korean drama about a sweet robot who ends up deciding he doesn't want to ever be human ever.

A short blurb about your character's AU: Nam Sung-jae aka Jay Nam is the younger of the twin heirs/troublemakers of the sprawling PK Conglomerate - best known for their high-end cars but also has had some of the best minds in robotics under their greasy wings. He and his twin are known as hot-headed playboys, with the younger considered the 'nicer' of the two in that he may actually sometimes not start yelling at people for standing in his way like the older twin often does. While their tempers are a fact, it is also a fact that they both inherited their mother's talents for robotics and thus securing them spots in the company's Robotic Futures Departments despite grumbles about their irresponsible habits. After an incident involving the twins in a club brawl that went viral (the highlight of the brawl showing them punching a woman), the company officially has placed them overseas which is how Jay ends up in Mossgate. Officially, he is suppose to be working on the technology for upgrades on the PK M-car - an automatic car with a built-in health monitoring system - while scouting out potential professionals for the company's robot brain tank.

Unofficially? This is suppose to be his punishment for the confusion after the brawl that let his older brother escape their grandfather's control and disappear.

Jay is use to being under heavy surveillance thanks to living under his mentally abusive grandfather, so gaining his trust in anything is not easy. The only people he absolutely trusts are his twin, that twin's personal secretary and their personal trainer. Everyone else are subjected to the prickly arrogance that are the twins' trademark default state. Under the arrogance is a traumatized, lonely young man that never really let anyone close in fear they will kill him over something he doesn't care for.

Open/Wanted CR: While he has the potential for gaining a ton of enemies, I want to see him get some positive CR so his more softer, sweeter, cinnamon roll self (ie the robot he really is) to shine through. Also would love to see any other people from his canon, especially the human Nam Shin, his girlfriend Kang So Bong, the secretary Ji Young Hoon, mom Laura Oh, and so on. Otherwise most of the positions in his family are open tho I want to keep his grandfather's slot closed since a lot of his trauma stems from that guy. But otherwise, co-workers, people who hate him, people who never heard of him but have seen the video, people who confuse him for his brother (they play up their near identical appearance to the point of being creepy because fff their grandfather's ways), and people in general.

Anything else? I had ideas of apping as a different character but RL got in the way then this show got in my head, and I love the idea of making the robot and the human into twins.

A short blurb about your character's AU: Marian's got dual-nationality through her parents, so she grew up in America. After high school she joined the US Army instead of heading to college; this proved to be a Problematic, and she eventually left and headed out to the UK, where she has some family, to get a new start there. She's been living in Mossgate for a year or so working in the gym and trying to get her act together, with mixed success. Very active, works out/goes running a lot, sarcastic as hell, good at heart, will kick a bully's ass if she spots one even if doing so lands her in jail, which it has a time or two.

Open/Wanted CR: Hoping to have Sky as her quirky uncle if Joy is still willing to toy with that idea, otherwise open, anyone wanting to be family should be aware of that additional connection (and boy would Marian love family). Weird friends especially wanted as in any world/life she's got a knack for collecting those. ;) Students are also an option since she works as a personal coach, or she might have helped you out sometime. Also I want her to have/get a dog so if anyone works in a pet shop and wants to be part of that introduction, bring it on.

Anything else? Marian has an absolute gift for getting tangled up in other people's problems. Please make use of this. She'll have mixed reactions to it but seriously it's her destiny. Also, I have no idea what I'm doing.
