This meme is here to be used as a place to coordinate AUs. Everyone has family, friends, colleagues, people they knew in the past, neighbours, pets, and more.

Fill those relations of your character with other player characters!

The big advantage of having connected AUs is that you start into the game with existing CR. Branch out! We recommend using this chance to forge cross-canon pre-CR, which will then make any further CR easier - ties with canonmates will, in our experience, be forged quickly enough even with no pre-CR at all.

Feel free to comment here with a separate comment for any character you are planning on apping with some level of certainty (you don't need to be decided yet, but out of courtesy to your fellow players, please don't throw characters on here that you doubt you'll app - "probably yes"/"if I can get a good idea" is okay, "probably not"/"only if the stars align just right" isn't). Don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on game start - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

Pre-Incarnation: Hawke / Dragon Age series (right through to DAI), purple rogue variety

A short blurb about your character's AU: Marian's got dual-nationality through her parents, so she grew up in America. After high school she joined the US Army instead of heading to college; this proved to be a Problematic, and she eventually left and headed out to the UK, where she has some family, to get a new start there. She's been living in Mossgate for a year or so working in the gym and trying to get her act together, with mixed success. Very active, works out/goes running a lot, sarcastic as hell, good at heart, will kick a bully's ass if she spots one even if doing so lands her in jail, which it has a time or two.

Open/Wanted CR: Hoping to have Sky as her quirky uncle if Joy is still willing to toy with that idea, otherwise open, anyone wanting to be family should be aware of that additional connection (and boy would Marian love family). Weird friends especially wanted as in any world/life she's got a knack for collecting those. ;) Students are also an option since she works as a personal coach, or she might have helped you out sometime. Also I want her to have/get a dog so if anyone works in a pet shop and wants to be part of that introduction, bring it on.

Anything else? Marian has an absolute gift for getting tangled up in other people's problems. Please make use of this. She'll have mixed reactions to it but seriously it's her destiny. Also, I have no idea what I'm doing.

And as for getting tangled up in others' problems - his preincarnation is technically the actual Internet, and those Echoes have wreaked hell on him already, so. 8'D

While Walter doesn't go to Sky's sermons often or anything, he does know the man, so there's that too.

The actual Internet oh man what a beautiful concept. If he does tech it could be as simple as they met when Marian brought in her laptop for repair or he was called in to repair the computers at her work, something like that, and then they ran into each other (possibly literally) around town. Doing some scanning of his info page I see he likes jokes and puns, in which case that would definitely get them on friendly terms pretty quickly. Any of those sound a place to start? =)

While Walter prefers to go biking/running on his own time (especially with his newfound speed - that could be an accident waiting to happen!), it'd be fair to say he knows his way around her laptop or some such.

... Any preference on a pun/running gag/injoke they have with each other? Also, Marian is 1000% percent allowed to tease him over Jim.

Salutations!

I already play in the game as Benjiro/Dark Donatello, but I intend to app this cutie pie this weekend at the latest. Her name is Ornella Tilly and she just so happens to be a granddaughter to Sky (via Janice his daughter). Which I believe would make her a second cousin to Marian. She is one of four kids and fancies herself as an artist in the making.

If Sky is Marian's uncle then Mary Ann would be her cousin in law - see what Ornella-mun wrote above and add that Mary Ann, this woman here, is married to Janice and Ornella's mother.

Not sure how well they would know each other, but since Marian's reason for choosing Mossgate was family they should at the very least have met a few times I think? Family dinners or something?
