Second reincarnation relationship plotting meme

What?

This meme is here to be used as a place to coordinate AUs. Everyone has family, friends, colleagues, people they knew in the past, neighbours, pets, and more.

Fill those relations of your character with other player characters!

The big advantage of having connected AUs is that you start into the game with existing CR. Branch out! We recommend using this chance to forge cross-canon pre-CR, which will then make any further CR easier - ties with canonmates will, in our experience, be forged quickly enough even with no pre-CR at all.

For ideas, please consult the Locations, Soft facts & Gossip, British stuff and NPCs pages, as well as any other game pages. Go here or to the FAQ to ask questions about potential AUs, characters, game mechanics, etc.

For whom?

Feel free to comment here with a separate comment for any character you are planning on apping with some level of certainty (you don't need to be decided yet, but out of courtesy to your fellow players, please don't throw characters on here that you doubt you'll app - "probably yes"/"if I can get a good idea" is okay, "probably not"/"only if the stars align just right" isn't). Don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on game start - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

How to:

Toss up a comment with your character's pre-incarnated name, canon, and AU occupation in the subject line. E.x. "Rarity | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic | Family Pet". In the body, of course, place any information you see fit; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel!

Pre-Incarnation: Stone/Books of the Raksura
A short blurb about your character's AU:
Sam Stone has lived in the city for something like 15 years, which isn't all THAT long when you're in your mid to late 70s, which he is. He's gruff, a former American air force (cuz I don't know a damn thing about UK air force, and also the way he talks is not very conducive to an English accent), but on the whole a good guy. He has a small private plane that he used to teach flying lessons in before his wife died.

Open/Wanted CR: Friends, former flying students, people he ran into around town? He already has one daughter living in town, but he had another kid and a passel of grandkids if anyone wants to to be related to him.

Anything else? Everybody should want to be granddadded at by him. He is the best granddad, even if he's not as great with kids as he was in canon.

Hey, two people of similar age from the same branch of the American military!

I've been vaguely thinking Sky was in Vietnam but I actually need to... research, I don't know a thing about the air force in that period. Suffice that he signed up as a crop-dusting idiot teenager and came out in worse condition, and with a pretty poor opinion of the military, though he's mellowed out since.

What do you think? Some kind of decades-old acquaintance with a giant lapse in the middle?

Sky's been here for something under a year, he's adjusting to the move - it's been a little harder on him than he expected. Passing encounters are reasonably likely.

Ah! Then he'll only have known Sam after he's re-emerged from hermiting for a couple years after his wife died ^^ Sky can have been one of Sam's attempts at re-learning how to be social and have friends.

Cool! Sky was a bit of a hothead as a teenager but he's mellowed dramatically since then.

Sam was always fairly level-headed, for a half-feral poor kid from rural NY, ha. Military only got him more on the straight-and-narrow (not religiousy, just... behaviorally) so he prolly hasn't changed much :P

Walter here probably accidentally got granddaded. He's 27 and perfectly capable of taking care of himself, just... more than occasionally shy and anxious. >.>

Also, if Stone ever wants to complain about tech stuff (particularly on the software side of things), Walter'd be more than happy to help (and possibly vent with).

He's actually relatively okay with tech stuff in this life... it's only his preincarnation that would be completely stymied by it XD Haha. I mean, he's not a programmer, but he can use it. Maybe if something goes wrong :3

Either way, how long has Walter lived in the town?

Walter would have moved back to Mossgate sometime in 2016 (for some reason I'm thinking in the fall...), settling into both his occupation and the general town life. So, two years, give or take a month.

So Sam would definitely be considered more of a fixture than a new kid to him, cool ^^ Though not a terribly social one until about a year ago.

They can be "okay, so we need to be social, but HOW?!?" peoples together!

His great aunts will loan him to Sam to do repair work (especially electrical stuff) if he ever needs a hand.
