The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme



The meme is open to, as per always, making arrangements with and between:
- Current characters in game.
AND
- Potential characters - any characters you may be planning on apping or reapping (there is a special header for this under the main post).
If you have an app in that has not been processed, please, don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on entry - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

For ideas, please consult the Locations, Soft facts & Gossip, British stuff (for all of your "how does this thing work in England???" needs) and NPCs pages, as well as any other game pages. Go to the FAQ to ask questions about potential AUs, characters, setting, game mechanics, etc.

For characters of either status, toss up a comment with your character's reincarnated name, pre-incarnated name, canon, and occupation in the subject line. E.x. "Cinderella | Rarity | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic | Family Pet" In the body, of course, place any information you see fit; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel!

Easy Ins for prospective characters

If you have open positions in your character's life that are flexible and you'd like to fill with player characters, please respond to this toplevel using the following form:

This is by no means meant to be a complete list of all possible CR. It is simply meant to be a starting point for players of prospective characters to find current characters that they can connect their AU with easily.

Position: Owner
Any specifics: Male, member of an Italian mafia, a bit like the babysitter of the rest of the Family, built the Mossgate outpost and has been there for at least six years. Officially the accountant of the restaurant that acts as the mafia unit's Front.

Position: Boss Couple of the mafia unit Chad lives with
Any specifics: The Boss Couple are an Italian woman and a man of flexible origin, who have a lot of children and came to Mossgate a few years ago (less than six). They are the owners of the restaurant.

Position: Members of the Family Chad lives with
Any specifics: Mafia members are male. They're mostly Italian.

Position: Dogsitters
Any specifics: Chad is a handful and his owner is a busy man, so sometimes he needs some dogsitting. This role is probably fulfilled by pupils and students.

Position: The person who owner the Kennel that Chad was born at and lived at for many years.
Any specifics: Breeds white Pomeranians. Sometimes keeps one or two to train them up to go to shows with them.

Location(s): At the Italian restaurant at the end of the High Street; out and about in Mossgate as he's being walked; YELLING on the network where he's making an ass of himself as he tries to hide that he's a dog
A blurb about them: A little yippy pet dog to a member of an Italian mafia group.

Open/Wanted CR: People who develop some form of relationship with him him on the network without knowing that he's a dog.

Hooks: He's at the restaurant a lot. Since he has little barking control he might always accidentally spook someone or an animal because he suddenly gets excited.

Plans/ongoing character plots: I'm planning on getting him out more on the network now that he's hopefully got a bit more of a handle on it - would anyone be up for him somehow spying on them and learning their number, so he can then private-dial them (and perhaps deepen the mystery of "is he the secret mastermind behind the network"?)

Position: Place to crash
Any specifics: So Kitty has a tendency to just wander into people's homes and decide that these are her second homes now. Which means that she'll sometimes drop in and ideally sit on the couch, watch TV and eat their sweets, or play board games with them, curl up in a corner and nap, or otherwise make the place her home. And then wander back out. This doesn't necessarily happen outside of school hours.

So the only specifics are that whoever this is needs to be living in a place that would allow her to make it her home - either they themselves, or whoever runs the place that they live in.

Position: Fellow foster child
Any specifics: Young enough that they were a foster child during very recent years or currently are one. There's a few open spots in her current foster family, too.

Any specifics: 9-ish.

Mary Ann Tilly | Marja Virtanen | Mage: The Ascension | GP

Location(s): She lives in Moss Manor and is fairly active in village life. She has a kid in the local primary school, so she might be found at the gates waiting for a kid on her days off. She works in a surgery in Mossgate as a GP, so that place or in the summer the seafront during breaks would be places to find her.
A blurb about them: Marja in canon is a Mage, and she specializes in the Spheres of Life, Spirits and Correspondence. That means that she can heal or destroy life, she can give living forms new shapes, she can feel out life, and many more things - anything that affects living organisms, she can do if she's creative about it, pretty much. She's also in close contact with the spirits and their world and can influence both. And she can teleport, feel breaches in space, and other things that affect space. There's a few other magic things that she can do, too.

Some of her family members are werewolves. She's an identical twin, originally from Sapmi/Finland, but spent most of her life outside of it - first the Iberian Peninsula, then Germany. She stopped ageing in her mid-fourties. For those who are canon familiar, she is a Dreamspeaker.

Open/Wanted CR: Mary-Ann will be daughter to Sam, daughter-in-law to Sky, and mother of Nel. She has three other biological children, some older, some younger than Nel, so:
- Children! Mary Ann and her wife have three biological children (because her first echo will have been the ability to have biological children with her wife), but if someone has a person who would be too old for a 50-year-old who only started with the children sometime in her thirties, yet they want them to be her child, it's totally possible to say that Janice and Mary-Ann Tilly fostered or adopted them.
- Wife! The last name should remain Tilly, but the first name is malleable. Essentially, Mary Ann's wife. They've been together for long enough to have (a) teenage kid(s), they live in Moss Manor. That's pretty much all that's set in stone. Oh, and she should be around 50.
- Patients! She's a GP in Mossgate, so this one is wide open and could be pretty much anyone.
- Fellow queer people! She's not super involved in the community, but she drops by the Hive sometimes and gets involved when there's political issues to deal with, and she's probably a name being passed around among queer people who'd like to have a GP who gets it.
- People from Moss Manor - neighbours, friends, people she meets at the shops...
- Parents of children her children know, teachers of her children, her hairdresser.... etc etc.

Hooks: Again, she's a GP so she meets a lot of people though that, and to the same end she's a parent. She also is on and off active in the LGBTQ+ community, and likes to attend village things in Moss Manor.

Plans/ongoing character plots: Her and her daughter will discover the network together, but nothing past that yet.

Feste | OC (loosely based on Elsewhere University) | University student

Location(s): Probably mostly around Mossgate; planning on having them be a university student in some kind of arts program. I'm very early on in the planning of this sob.
A blurb about them: Feste is one of the Fair Folk, and though they're pretty young by their standards that still makes them a hell of a lot older than most humans. For one of the Gentry, they're fairly friendly, nice, and patient, but... that's not really saying a whole lot. They Deal largely in souls and can do some pretty nasty shit, as well as, you know, take bits of your soul if you're not careful. (If they ask if they can have your name, THE ANSWER IS NO.)

Open/Wanted CR: I would love, love, love for Feste to have some close family/friends who have to deal with them losing any idea of what human morality and empathy is. It'll be great fun, I promise. More casual friendships/school relationships would be great too, or more distant family.

Hooks: They are constantly wandering around trying to get into new things and meet new people. Like, genuinely, there is a decent chance that that one hobby group you're in and never gets new people just has them show up because they found out about it and want to see what it is and if it's fun and you all seem nice!!!

Plans/ongoing character plots: Mostly I'm just over here cackling over the idea of this probably very friendly person devolving into a cheerful and very childish eldritch-type horror.

If you don't mind them having been adopted, they could be Mary Ann (whom I. I will app very soon) and her wife's kid? That'd give them two grandfathers (Sky and Sam, who are already in game) and a little sister (Ornella, whose app is currently being processed), too. Assuming everyone else in this constellation is interested, of course.

A blurb about them: A teenage nerd that’s got an amazing girlfriend, a video game stream channel, and is exploring his inventing skills. He has lived in London, the US, and Japan.

Open/Wanted CR: More friends is always better! Age makes no difference. Totally open to most possible relationships (good or bad) except immediate family members. Russell is his second cousin in law once removed.

Hooks: Benjiro is loaned out to neighbors in Moss Manor village by his great aunts to do repairs, he attends 6th Form college (where he recently became the trend in Mossgate gossip over a fight), and is going to be in town frequently, especially at the library.

Plans/ongoing character plots: Sadly, streaming is an inconsistent form of income, so he’s looking into getting a part time job after draining most of his savings on junkyard parts and a replacement wardrobe with his last Echo. At least those parts will become a motorcycle at the end of the month.

Anything Else?: He has remained inactive on the Network and refuses to use it so far.

Any specifics: ... Admittedly I've specified a lot; her name is Haley, she was born April 12th, 1998 while the family was part of a cult, which they left in 2005; she has since grown beyond the cult and is now studying oceanography. The family is a generally healthy one and the siblings are on good terms.

The rest of her personality, likes&dislikes, and general history is free-range, though!

Position: Other former/surviving cult members
Any specifics: Can be any age/demographic, really. Does the cult still exist? Who knows!

Position: People Walter befriended in uni - peers, professors, etc.
Any specifics: Will probably not work out well if they try to get him to visit London again. =P

A blurb about them: Generally in a constant internal fight between Introverted Notions and Getting Out Among People Because It's Good For Him, Dammit! And also trying to do right by people; he's the helpful sort. Also, he is trans and has educated himself a fair amount on Identity Stuff.

Open/Wanted CR: ... More accidental friendships, please! Also people who either have crushes on him or can tease him about his own (not-quite-realized) crush on Jim.

Hooks: He is a very qualified tech person-type, thankyouverymuch! =P He can have fixed your character's computer or suommat. Also, he goes running and biking on a regular basis - though given his Echo-enhanced speed he's trying to do that out of people's notice.

Plans/ongoing character plots: Fair warning: I am going to break this character so hard. Just not right now. ;)

A blurb about them: Nature spirit that really is an embodiment of the season of spring. She can create/alter plants and bring fresh water to an area (rain or a river), create insects for the plants, glide, and her physical form fluctuates with her powers.

Open/Wanted CR: She’s set to be one of the brood belonging to Janice and Mary Ann Tilly, and granddaughter of Sam Stone and Luke “Sky” Walker. I would love to have friends for her!

Hooks: Moss Manor village is her home, but she will go anywhere with family. She’s very fond of gardens and parks, and regularly attends school.

Plans/ongoing character plots: Nel will first show up on the network with her mother Mary Ann. Otherwise, she will draw on the network from time to time and ask everyone all the questions.
