The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme



The meme is open to, as per always, making arrangements with and between:
- Current characters in game.
AND
- Potential characters - any characters you may be planning on apping or reapping (there is a special header for this under the main post).
If you have an app in that has not been processed, please, don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on entry - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

For ideas, please consult the Locations, Soft facts & Gossip, British stuff (for all of your "how does this thing work in England???" needs) and NPCs pages, as well as any other game pages. Go to the FAQ to ask questions about potential AUs, characters, setting, game mechanics, etc.

For characters of either status, toss up a comment with your character's reincarnated name, pre-incarnated name, canon, and occupation in the subject line. E.x. "Cinderella | Rarity | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic | Family Pet" In the body, of course, place any information you see fit; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel!

Position: Ex-classmates
Any specifics: People between 24 - 29 years old, attended school in Moss Manor around the same timeframe

Position: Older siblings
Any specifics: Mid-late 30s, half English and half Italian, used to live in Moss Manor, have lived away from the greater Mossgate area for more than a decade. Completely open-ended where they've been since moving out.

Position: Theatre troupe members
Any specifics: Other people involved in Mossgate Theatre shows in some way or another, be it actors, other tech folks, costuming, what have you.

Position: Regular customers from his ex-job at the pier gift store
Any specifics: People who like to shop at gift shops and regularly buy things, whether it's for their own clutter or for gift-giving

Position: Dog-owners who occasionally need someone to come by and take the dog for a walk
Any specifics: Gotta own a dog, please do not be the middleman for some other dogwalking venture

Marja is a magic user in canon, and her first echo was indeed a tiny bit of magic, so magic buddies y/y?

Sounds like a plan! Demonstrations may be in order; Russell's is/will be pretty obvious, in that he's learned he can summon bones into existence. It looks like Marja's is more subtle than that?

Well... Easier to explain away, at least.

But she can do some very obvious things, too, and I might echo her one of that back fairly early on (something like shapeshifting or healing or teleporting or such) just so she can freak out figure things out better.

Seeing Russell summon bones might actually be a good trigger for her to echo bits of teleportation or memories of moving between this side and the spirit world :|9

Those are fun options, and I don't envy you choosing between them. But even the life sense could be useful, as Russell wouldn't mind knowing for sure that he's not summoning bones out of people or anything terrible like that. These bones of magic made physical are a different thing, and would probably only ping as echoes of his own life than life of their own?

And then they enter into an echo rebound loop, as teleportation would absolutely set one off from Papyrus' memories.

Her first echo will be a different one from the one that's currently in her info post, but she'd probably get the life sense back early on, so they could definitely look into that (alternatively, she could sent a sample of a bone off to a lab to see if it matches up with Russell's dna or not...)

Ahh, then I'll keep an eye out for what she gets for the first echo instead. Please do science to the mysterious magic bones, he (and I) have no idea if it would match but that'd be fun to explore.

Young magic buddy? So long as Russell doesn’t mind a 10 year old, she’ll be happy to practice magic with him!

He'll be hesitant, because his interactions with Kitty so far have featured her being Uncanny and Knowing and bickering at him...

But he does want to compare the sorts of magic people are gaining. As long as she doesn't get under his skin in the same way, he'd be okay with it.

Nel can be blunt and insatiably curious, but bickering doesn’t work well in her family dynamic. Friendly teasing is fair game most times... If she comes with her mum however, she’ll be extra well behaved.

The bone magic will certainly impress her.

It's hard to say no to something that impresses people, especially when it's something seemingly harmless like this. Now just wait until he starts getting back the finesse control to spell things out...
