The All-Purpose CR/Plotting Meme



The meme is open to, as per always, making arrangements with and between:
- Current characters in game.
AND
- Potential characters - any characters you may be planning on apping or reapping (there is a special header for this under the main post).
If you have an app in that has not been processed, please, don't be shy about commenting around for prospective CR and plans on entry - though, of course, remember that plans will be tentative!

For ideas, please consult the Locations, Soft facts & Gossip, British stuff (for all of your "how does this thing work in England???" needs) and NPCs pages, as well as any other game pages. Go to the FAQ to ask questions about potential AUs, characters, setting, game mechanics, etc.

For characters of either status, toss up a comment with your character's reincarnated name, pre-incarnated name, canon, and occupation in the subject line. E.x. "Cinderella | Rarity | My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic | Family Pet" In the body, of course, place any information you see fit; go on ahead and use this form if you'd like a place to start or take it however you feel!

Location(s): Generally around Mossgate, since he lives and works around town. Also visits Moss Manor for major neighborhood functions, and lurks around the Network
A blurb about them: Chronically dramatic theatre nerd and rich kid (adult) working part time at various jobs and getting distracted by The Mysteries around them and the network

Open/Wanted CR: Friends, Romans, Countrymen.
Additional family (he's got a few openings in immediate family, and plenty of options for extended family - Ben's his second cousin-in-law once removed).
Extremely petty rivalries are good, especially since his style of petty rivalry will shift a bit as he gets more Papyrusy (right now his main rival is... also a dog, these things happen).
Conspiracy Theory Buddies - Russell has indulged in spinning theories at his cousin and flatmate, and personally believes that the mysterious voice that called them to action with the petting zoo is the mastermind behind the network's existence.

Hooks: He's a brightly cheery spacecase who occasionally works retail sorts of jobs, Mossgate Theatre troupe stuff, various stuff from these other categories

Plans/ongoing character plots:
- I haven't found any player characters for him to imitate for the sake of popularity / self improvement, so I think he's going to fall in celebrity crush with Sir. Patrick Stewart for a bit (for the sake of an actor I like and can imitate off of.)
- He's going to test going outside the network area at least a few times, so if anyone wants to play the memory blipping game with him (mostly handwaved), that's an option.
- It's going to be a while before Russell has any realistic understanding of what his Undertale life was like, but he's going to have theories aplenty that he'll share with people.
- And while it's a slow going thing, someday he's going to be unnervingly mummy-like before the full transition to skeleton, so some body horror warnings may be required going forward.

But also just to make sure that there is no sadness later: Please remember that during Season 1 characters need to not compromise the existence of the Numbered to the wider public, so if he becomes all mummy-like to a point where it can't be explained away with a medical condition, he'll need to hide.

Given that Star Trek is a canon represented in game, where would be best for me to ping people and chat about SoE Star Trek's differences? Jim's canonpoint is behind by a good century or so, so I figure certain phrases like Make it so are safe to borrow in all their gravitas and commanding tones, but I would like to at least have a name for this alternative Space Trip canon - one that doesn't sound like they all got high.

And thank you for checking! I plan on sticking to gaunt like a medical condition in season 1, because slow burning is the fun of it there.

Okay but have you watched TOS, tell me they didn't I mean. Please talk to Jim's player about an alternative name and a rough outline of what the canon might be like where necessary. Since the name is not based on a character, it would be fine to keep it - but if you agree on something else, please update me on what it is and I'll include it on the FAQ.
