Potential Plot Echo Opportunities

- serve as monthly digests, to get everyone back up to speed with what is going on in the game by providing up-to-date information on plot and setting
- provide a space to ask questions about interactions with the setting and plot
- offer a venue where players can plot with the mods so that together we can make Save Our Earth as interactive as possible. Plot that has not yet happened is malleable; if player characters interact with it, it may just steer in a different direction from what the mods expected.

General/OOC notes:
- We just wanted to apologise for the lack of communication in September about the AC situation. There were many factors involved, but that is no excuse for the lack of communication and transparency. We'll try to do better should a similar situation crop up again.
- All characters who were swept in October AC (Alexander, Takamasa and Chihiro) suddenly lost their echoes on Remembrance Day, should anyone wish to have their character notice.
Events that occurred recently:
- Many characters went on guided tours of the tunnels. Jim found a fresh breeze in the tunnels. Sadie and Ben (warped_replica) found some very damp tunnels. Sky (blueskying) felt a large presence.
- Pride took place, and a mysterious cake appeared in the path of the parade. Many characters ate from it and got high as a kite. Kitty (runs) quite literally so, which caused her to get stuck in the roller coaster and be rescued by Jim (tobodlygo).
- An undetonated bomb from WW2 was found at Mossgate High Street, causing evacuations that dragged on when the state of the bomb suddenly turned out to be worse than it had originally appeared. The worsened state of the bomb was announced the morning after Sadie (dragoonrouge) and Walter (iamnotgod) encounterd a suspicious man wondering about the situation and Sam (scarsolderthanyou) and Russell (spaghettimonster) later encountered the same man sneaking out of the fences inside of which the bomb was located. After it had been announced that the bomb was worse off now, Sam found the same man's scent on the bomb.
- Casting for a film shot at the cliffs of Mossgate happened. Feste (fairfeste) works behind the scenes, while Russell tried out as an extra.
- Marja (catted) brought up that the first echoes happened many years ago.
- After it was announced that the post office at Moss Manor was to be shut down, people started protesting and a petition was passed around.
- On Halloween, the town got very creepy decorations. There were skeletons on the graveyard who were indeed real and belonged to the people who had been buried there, including Sam's (
scarsolderthanyou) late wife. There were tons of spiders of all kinds of species who left lots of cobwebs in trees and other high structures, which caused Jim (tobodlygo) to take intense action. Water buckets in front of houses containing creepy apples caused some wet feet. While interacting with those odd phenomena, people had unusual echo experiences - from very small to out of the ordinary to very strong or very emotional.- Sadie (
dragoonrouge) and Ben (warped_replica) proved that videos of echoes or network-related content can make it out of the echo boundary intact and be used to inform Numbered about their Numbered status outside of the echo boundary.- The network learns that even animals can be Numbered.
- The events of bonfire night are still unfolding and will be covered in the November plot digest.
- On Halloween, the town got very creepy decorations. There were skeletons on the graveyard who were indeed real and belonged to the people who had been buried there, including Sam's (
Events that are currently occurring or will (potentially) occurr in the immediate future:
- [mingle!] Continuing with backdated events (this is the last one, promise!), on Remembrance Day, more curious events will take place.
- The film for which casting has now finished will start filming; for now, mostly indoor scenes are being shot.
- On the first weekend of December, the Christmas Market at the lower end of Mossgate High Street opens. It's just a couple of stalls which sell foods and crafts, but at the same time, the Christmas illuminations all around town and the villages are switched on, truly starting off the Christmas experience.
- [mingle!] December will, for the most part, be a normal month... until a snow chaos hits just in time for Christmas.

ANYWAY, as I will have more opportunity to canon review this month, I expect to find even better candidates for Echo occurrences - though he's still emotionally parsing this latest one.
Also, given he's now effectively a museum tour guide with Kitty, people may spot him more at the museum once that's running as normal again.

He's pretty much finished with work for the year, so he's got a lot more free-time to figure out what the hell this thing in his kitchen is now.
Christmas is going to be his usual, as his family lives across the world so there's not a lot of scope for getting them all together. It's a big conference call with everyone in it, which he'll be getting an echo from!
He'll also be going to visit his biological dad's grave, which is somewhere out of the Moss-gate area...

That's not going to be a good time for Jim, is it? Well, getting rid of the allergies for a while might be a refresher...
Am open to having Walter be roped in for food replicator shenanigans (alongside investigating Russell's phone).
